Manufactured from hot-rolled ASTM 4115 steel and case-hardened to 58-62 Rc for enhanced durability. Advanced design with strategically placed side scalloping and vent slots to reduce high RPM bearing race distortion. Double-forged rods provide improved grain flow and maintain dimensional consistency. Shot-peened and double-honed for superior strength under heavy loads. Double-drilled small ends enhance lubrication and cooling of the wrist pin bearing. Silver-coated thrust washers and crank pin bearings reduce friction and improve lubricity.
