YAMAHA YZ 65 2018 - 2022 +2.00mm OVERSIZE 45.45mm SINGLE RING PISTON
Vertex pistons are manufactured using Low-Ex aluminum alloys with 12%, 18%, or 21% silicon, depending on the application. Pistons are made using gravity cast or hydraulic forging processes, followed by a heat treatment process in an automatic HT implant with solubilization by quench in hot water. Machining is completed using CNC machines, software, and diamond tools. Each piston undergoes a manual and automatic quality control process. Vertex pistons are coated with a special Molybdenum Bisulphite black coating to aid in break-in and reduce friction. A new Phosphate Coating, with increased hardness and light surface porosity, exhibits superior adhesion qualities of the Molybdenum Coating, extending its durability. This is a +2.00mm oversize, 45.45mm single ring piston.
