Piston rings are produced in Japan with wear-resistant coatings (PVD or chromium nitride) to increase retention and durability. This kit includes the piston, pin, circlips, and piston rings. Athena Forged Piston Kit B - 96mm Bore

Crafted from a specialized high-performance aluminum alloy with a high silicon content, this piston offers exceptional resistance and reliability. Engineered with advanced CNC machining, it ensures dimensional tolerances of less than 0.01 mm for precise fitment. The piston's smooth profile promotes regular flow and optimal flame propagation, while some skirt designs feature a molybdenum disulfide coating to further reduce friction and increase longevity. Each piston is rigorously tested on dynamometer benches and on the track to validate performance in extreme conditions.
This kit includes the piston, pin, circlips, and piston rings. The piston rings, produced in Japan with wear-resistant coatings (PVD or chromium nitride), minimize friction with the cylinder for improved performance and durability.
