Machining is done using CNC machines and diamond tools for specific surface finishes. Every piston undergoes rigorous manual and automatic quality control. Vertex pistons feature a special Molybdenum Bisulphite black coating for break-in and reduced friction. A new Phosphate Coating, similar to Formula One engine developments, offers increased hardness, light surface porosity, and superior adhesion for the Molybdenum Coating, doubling its durability. This piston is +2.00mm oversize with a 55.95mm diameter and includes a single ring.
