They extend bearing life by using a hardened steel shell pressed over the aluminum body to provide a superior wear surface. Manufactured with 52100 bearing steel that is through hardened, precision ground and plated for years of service. Water and dirt can grind between wheel bearing seals and soft OEM aluminum wheel spacers, creating grooves and allowing for bearing contamination.
