Vertex pistons are manufactured using Low-Ex aluminium alloys with 12%, 18% or 21% silicon content depending on the application. Pistons are made using gravity casting or hydraulic forging, with material structure refined through heat treatment. Machining is done using the latest CNC machines and diamond tools to achieve specific surface finishes. Each piston undergoes rigorous manual and automatic quality control. Vertex pistons are coated with Molybdenum Bisulphite for break-in and friction reduction. A new, all-over Phosphate Coating offers increased hardness, light surface porosity, and superior adhesion qualities, extending coating durability. This piston is 51.95mm and 110cc with a single ring.
