Pistons are produced via gravity cast or hydraulic forging, with material structure refined through advanced heat treatment in an automatic implant and solubilization by quench in hot water. Machining is done using the latest CNC machines and diamond tools, achieving specific surface finishes. Each piston undergoes rigorous manual and automatic quality control. Vertex pistons feature a special Molybdenum Bisulphite black coating for break-in and friction reduction. A new Phosphate Coating, developed from Formula One engine technology, offers increased hardness and surface porosity for superior Molybdenum Coating adhesion and durability. This piston is 95.45mm with a 13.0:1 compression ratio.
