The Motion Pro Suspension Vise (Part No. 08-0628) is engineered to simplify suspension servicing tasks for both professional and home mechanics. It securely holds shocks and forks, facilitating procedures such as oil changes, re-valving, and seal replacements. Features include a pivoting head that holds parts in any position, with mechanical stops every 45 degrees. The aluminium soft jaw vise holds cylindrically shaped parts utilizing a 4-point grip system. The large side holds 39 mm to 69 mm diameter parts, and the small side holds 14 mm to 39 mm diameter parts. The steel frame is rigid yet has a small footprint, with 4 pre-drilled holes in the base for secure mounting to a bench. It includes a movable fluid catch pan with mesh insert and threaded drain bung. The soft jaw fork peg holds the fork slider up for removal of the dust seal and seal retaining clip. The repositionable bottom slide bar holds forks compressed while bleeding air during reassembly and is an excellent platform for adding, adjusting, and taking fork oil level measurements. It can be used to assist in removing the compression valve assembly. The vise holds the shock firmly around the shock body, shaft, or shock reservoir. It facilitates removal of the piston rod and seal head, shock reservoir caps, chamber pistons, or bladder. It holds shocks to remove spherical bearings or needle bearings, and holds shocks for removal of the shock spring.
