Athena Forged Piston Kit - 96mm Bore
Enhance the performance and durability of your motorcycle with the Athena Forged Piston Kit. Engineered in Italy, this high-quality piston is designed for exceptional reliability and power, meeting or exceeding Original Equipment (OE) standards.
Crafted from a specialized high-performance aluminum alloy with a high silicon content, Athena pistons are manufactured using advanced CNC machining for precise dimensional tolerances. This ensures a perfect fit and optimal function within both Athena and OE cylinders.
The piston features a smooth profile designed for improved airflow and efficient flame propagation, leading to a noticeable increase in performance. For further friction reduction and enhanced durability, some piston skirts are treated with a molybdenum disulfide coating applied via screen printing.
Included in this comprehensive kit are the piston, pin, circlips, and piston rings. The piston rings are produced in Japan with wear-resistant coatings (PVD or chromium nitride) to maximize lifespan and performance. These rings are designed to maintain a perfect seal with the cylinder liner, even under low tangential load, ensuring less friction and higher performance.
