Enhance your motorcycle's performance and durability with this Athena Forged Piston Kit. Crafted using advanced reverse extrusion and cutting-edge CNC machining, these pistons achieve dimensional tolerances of less than 0.01 mm. Made from a special high-performance aluminum alloy with high silicon content, they offer reliability equal to Original Equipment (OE) pistons while providing superior resistance and excellent performance.
The piston's perfectly smooth profile ensures regular airflow and optimal flame propagation. Some piston skirts are further enhanced with a molybdenum disulfide coating, applied via screen printing, to reduce friction, boost performance, and increase durability. Athena engineers utilize advanced technical solutions and maintain the highest quality standards, ensuring performance and reliability that meets or exceeds OE production.
Each piston, designed in Italy by the Athena R&D department, undergoes rigorous testing on engine dynamometer benches and on the track to validate performance in extreme conditions. This piston kit includes the piston, pin, circlips, and piston rings. All components are replaceable and interchangeable.
The included piston rings are produced in Japan with wear-resistant coatings (PVD or chromium nitride) to increase durability. These rings perfectly adapt to the cylinder liner, even at low tangential loads, minimizing friction for higher performance.
