The Motion Pro Nitrogen Needle Kit (Part No. 08-0075) is specifically engineered for servicing gas-charged shock absorbers that feature self-sealing rubber valves. This essential tool is designed to work in conjunction with the Motion Pro Nitrogen Shock Gauge (part number 08-0072) to ensure accurate and efficient shock maintenance.

Key Features:

  • Facilitates the filling of shocks equipped with self-sealing rubber valves.
  • Designed for use with select Yamaha, Fox, and Öhlins shock absorbers.
  • Optimized for integration with the Motion Pro Nitrogen Shock Gauge (08-0072).
  • Includes all necessary components for proper setup and operation.
  • Manufactured in the USA to high standards.

Specifications:

  • Needle Gauge: 22
  • Needle Length: 1 inch
  • Compatibility: Shocks with self-sealing rubber valves.
  • Material: Constructed from high-quality components for enhanced durability.

Usage Instructions:

  1. Disconnect the hose assembly from the nitrogen gauge body (08-0072).
  2. Install the nitrogen needle adaptor into the gauge body, utilizing pipe sealant or Teflon® tape.
  3. Unscrew the retainer nut from the adaptor and slide the needle onto the stainless steel tube that extends from the adaptor.
  4. Carefully place the O-ring over the needle.
  5. Reattach the retainer nut and tighten until the O-ring and needle are securely seated against the adaptor.
  6. Locate and remove the screw covering the self-sealing rubber valve on the shock.
  7. While supporting the reservoir body, insert the needle into the valve as perpendicularly as possible to prevent bending or damage.
  8. Adjust the nitrogen tank regulator to the pressure recommended by the shock manufacturer and pressurize the shock accordingly.
  9. Following inflation, carefully withdraw the needle and reinstall the cover screw over the valve.
  10. When not in use, place the protective cover over the needle.

Safety Precautions:

  • Always wear appropriate eye protection to guard against potential hazards from escaping gas or debris.
  • Direct the needle away from yourself and others at all times.
  • Adhere strictly to the shock manufacturer's guidelines and ensure filling is done only to the specified pressure.
