GRADE A 57.94mm TWIN RING REPLICA PISTON. Vertex pistons are manufactured using Low-Ex aluminium alloys with 12%, 18% or 21% silicon depending on the application. Pistons are made using gravity cast or hydraulic forging processes, followed by a heat treatment process. Machining is completed using CNC machines and diamond tools to achieve specific surface finishes. All Vertex pistons undergo rigorous manual and automatic quality control. The pistons are coated with Molybdenum Bisulphite black coating to aid break-in and reduce friction. Vertex also offers a Phosphate Coating with increased hardness and surface porosity for superior adhesion and durability.
