The material structure is refined using a high-tech heat treatment process. Machining is completed using the latest CNC machines and software with diamond tools to achieve specific surface finishes. Every Vertex piston undergoes rigorous manual and automatic quality control. Vertex pistons are coated with a special Molybdenum Bisulphite black coating for break-in and to reduce friction. Vertex has introduced a new Phosphate Coating for increased hardness, light surface porosity, and superior adhesion of the Molybdenum Coating, doubling its durability. This piston is 47.95mm and is a Grade C.
