The machining process utilizes the latest CNC machines, software, and diamond tools to achieve specific surface finishes. Each Vertex piston undergoes rigorous manual and automatic quality control. Vertex pistons feature a Molybdenum Bisulphite black coating for break-in and friction reduction, and a new Phosphate Coating for increased hardness, surface porosity, and enhanced Molybdenum Coating adhesion and durability. This piston is Grade C, 76.97mm, with a 14.3:1 high compression ratio.
