Material structure is refined using a hi-tech Heat Treatment process involving solubilization by quench in hot water. Machining is completed using CNC machines and diamond tools, achieving specific surface finishes. Every Vertex piston undergoes manual and automatic quality control. Vertex pistons are coated with a Molybdenum Bisulphite black coating to aid break-in and reduce friction. Vertex also offers a new Phosphate Coating with increased hardness and surface porosity for superior adhesion and durability.
