KAWASAKI KX 250 2002-2004 GRADE D 66.38mm TWIN RING PISTON
Vertex pistons are manufactured using low-expansion silicon aluminum alloys with 12%, 18%, or 21% silicon content depending on the application. Pistons are made using gravity cast or hydraulic forging and then heat treated in an automatic implant with hot water quenching. This advanced heat treating process is cutting edge technology for these aluminum alloys. Machining is completed using the latest CNC machines and software with diamond tools, achieving specific surface finishes for each application. Every Vertex piston undergoes rigorous manual and automatic quality control. Vertex pistons are coated with a special Molybdenum Bisulphite black coating to aid break-in and reduce friction. A new, all-over Phosphate Coating offers increased hardness and surface porosity for superior adhesion and durability of the Molybdenum Coating. This piston is twin ring, 66.38mm, Grade D.
