KAWASAKI KX 250 2002-2004 GRADE D 66.38mm SINGLE RING RACE PISTON
Vertex pistons are manufactured using Low-Ex aluminium alloys with 12%, 18%, or 21% silicon content depending on the application. Pistons are manufactured using gravity cast or hydraulic forging processes, followed by heat treatment in an automatic HT implant with solubilization by quench in hot water. Machining is completed using CNC machines and software with diamond tools to achieve specific surface finishes. Every Vertex piston undergoes manual and automatic quality control. Vertex pistons are coated with a special Molybdenum Bisulphite black coating to aid during break-in and reduce friction. A new, all over Phosphate Coating offers increased hardness and porosity for superior adhesion and durability of the Molybdenum Coating. This piston has a bore size of 66.38mm.
