KAWASAKI KX 250 1998-2001 GRADE A 66.35mm SINGLE RING RACE PISTON
Vertex pistons are manufactured using Low-Ex aluminium alloys with 12%, 18% or 21% silicon content depending on the application. Pistons are manufactured using gravity casting or hydraulic forging, then heat treated using an automatic HT implant with solubilization by quench in hot water. Machining is completed using the latest CNC machines and software with diamond tools to achieve specific surface finishes. Every Vertex piston undergoes rigorous manual and automatic quality control. Vertex pistons are coated with Molybdenum Bisulphite for break-in and friction reduction, and a new Phosphate Coating for increased hardness, surface porosity, and Molybdenum Coating adhesion. This piston is 66.35mm with a single ring.
