KAWASAKI KX 125 2003-2008 +2.00mm OVERSIZE 55.95mm SINGLE RING REPLICA PISTON
Vertex pistons are manufactured using Low-Ex (low expansion) Silicon aluminium alloys with 12%, 18% or 21% silicon depending on the application. Pistons are made using gravity cast or hydraulic forging processes and then refined using a hi-tech Heat Treatment. The machining process uses the latest CNC machines and software with diamond tools to achieve specific surface finishes. Every Vertex piston undergoes rigorous manual and automatic quality control. Vertex pistons are coated with a special Molybdenum Bisulphite black coating to aid piston break-in and reduce friction. A new Phosphate Coating has been introduced, which has a slight hardness increase and light surface porosity for superior adhesion qualities of the Molybdenum Coating, extending coating durability. This is a single ring replica piston with a +2.00mm oversize bore of 55.95mm.

FULL DESCRIPTION
Premium Vertex Oversize Replica Piston
Restore your engine performance with the Vertex +2.00mm oversize replica piston. Engineered for durability and precise operation, this piston is manufactured using advanced Low-Ex silicon-charged aluminium alloys to ensure structural integrity and thermal resistance. Each piston undergoes a sophisticated heat treatment process, utilizing high-tech quench methods to refine the material structure for maximum strength under high-stress conditions.
Precision is at the core of the Vertex manufacturing process. Using state-of-the-art CNC machinery and diamond-tipped tooling, these pistons are machined to exact tolerances to ensure a perfect fit and optimal surface finish for your cylinder. Every unit is subjected to rigorous manual and automatic quality control inspections, meeting the highest standards for performance-driven riders.
Advanced Coating Technology
This piston features industry-leading surface treatments designed to maximize engine longevity:
- Molybdenum Bisulphite Coating: A specialized black coating applied to the piston skirt to reduce friction and facilitate a smoother engine break-in period.
- Phosphate Coating: Drawing from Formula One engine technology, this all-over phosphate treatment increases surface hardness and creates a light porosity. This improves the adhesion of the Molybdenum coating, significantly extending the durability and lifespan of the piston.
