KAWASAKI KX 125 1994 GRADE A 53.95mm SINGLE RING PISTON
Vertex pistons are manufactured using Low-Ex aluminium alloys with 12%, 18%, or 21% silicon content depending on the application. Pistons are made using gravity casting or hydraulic forging, followed by heat treatment in an automatic HT implant with solubilization by quenching in hot water. Machining is performed using the latest CNC machines and software with diamond tools to achieve specific surface finishes. Each Vertex piston undergoes rigorous manual and automatic quality control. Vertex pistons are coated with a special Molybdenum Bisulphite black coating for break-in and friction reduction. A new Phosphate Coating, developed following Formula One engine advancements, offers increased hardness, light surface porosity, and superior adhesion qualities of the Molybdenum Coating, doubling coating durability. This piston has a 53.95mm bore and a single ring.
