KAWASAKI KX 100 +2.00mm 54.44mm SINGLE RING RACE PISTON. Vertex pistons are manufactured using Low-Ex aluminium alloys with 12%, 18%, or 21% silicon content depending on the application. They are produced using gravity casting or hydraulic forging, followed by a heat treatment process using an automatic HT implant with solubilization by quench in hot water. Machining is performed on the latest CNC machines with diamond tools to achieve specific surface finishes. Every Vertex piston undergoes rigorous manual and automatic quality control. Vertex pistons are coated with a special Molybdenum Bisulphite black coating for break-in and friction reduction. A new Phosphate Coating is also available, offering increased hardness, light surface porosity, and superior adhesion qualities for extended coating durability.
