Machining is completed using CNC machines and diamond tools to achieve specific surface finishes. Each Vertex piston undergoes rigorous manual and automatic quality control. Vertex pistons are coated with a special Molybdenum Bisulphite black coating for break-in and friction reduction. A new Phosphate Coating, used in Formula One engines, offers increased hardness and superior adhesion for extended durability. This twin ring piston has a bore size of 53.99mm.
