HONDA CR 125 1990 - 1991 GRADE C 53.95mm SINGLE RING REPLICA. Vertex pistons are manufactured using Low-Ex aluminium alloys with 12%, 18% or 21% silicon content depending on the application. Pistons are manufactured using gravity cast or hydraulic forging processes. Material structure is refined using a hi-tech Heat Treatment process completed in an automatic HT implant with solubilization by quench in hot water. Machining is completed using CNC machines and software with diamond tools. Pistons are coated with a special Molybdenum Bisulphite black coating to aid during break-in and reduce friction. Vertex has introduced a new, all over, Phosphate Coating which has a slight hardness increase combined with a light surface porosity that exhibits superior adhesion qualities of the Molybdenum Coating.
