Gas Gas MC 85 2021-2023 Grade C 46.96mm 12 Degree Piston For VHM
Vertex pistons are manufactured using Low-Ex aluminium alloys with 12% silicon. Pistons are made using gravity cast or hydraulic forging processes. The material structure is refined using a hi-tech heat treatment process, including solubilization by quench in hot water. Machining is completed using the latest CNC machines and software with diamond tools to achieve specific surface finishes. Every Vertex piston undergoes rigorous manual and automatic quality control. Vertex pistons are coated with a special Molybdenum Bisulphite black coating to aid during break-in and reduce friction. A new, all-over Phosphate Coating has been introduced which increases hardness and exhibits superior adhesion qualities to the Molybdenum Coating, extending coating durability. This piston has a bore of 46.96mm and a 12-degree piston angle.
