ProTaper Carmichael Contour Handlebars - Blue
The ProTaper Contour Handlebar is a widely recognized and popular choice for riders seeking enhanced comfort and control. This design, pioneered by ProTaper, features oversized diameter handlebars without a crossbar, a patented innovation introduced in 1991. This construction offers a superior balance of flex and impact absorption compared to traditional handlebars, leading to reduced rider fatigue and improved comfort during rides.
Constructed from exclusive 2000 series T6 aluminum alloy, these handlebars boast exceptional tensile and yield strengths. This premium material selection ensures the best possible combination of fatigue life, impact resistance, and shock-absorbing flex within its price range. The handlebars feature a computer-profiled 5 mm-thick wall design, making them up to 20% lighter and 40% stronger than many competing products.
Engineered for durability and performance, the Contour Handlebars feature a high-tech shot-peened, stress-relieved, and anodized finish for unmatched resilience. The clutch side is intricately knurled to provide maximum grip adhesion for your handguards and grips. Furthermore, chemically applied cut lines and an alignment grid offer scratch- and peel-resistant markings for precise installation. Included plastic end plugs effectively seal out the elements and offer a more robust foundation for attaching grip ends.
