BOX OF 12 tubes. Each tube contains 80 ml of Athesil, a general purpose, single component RTV silicone compound designed for engine professionals. It forms a tough, flexible, waterproof seal of silicone rubber upon curing from air moisture exposure. Athesil is developed by Athena, a leading brand in aftermarket gaskets and sealing products, and meets the needs of professional technicians and mechanics in industries such as automotive, marine, motorcycle, heavy duty, and off-highway. It is thermally stable from -40°C to 220°C, with intermittent resistance up to 300°C. It offers superior resistance to mineral or synthetic oils, lubricants, fuels, greases, coolants, and detergents. Athesil resists ageing, weathering, and thermal cycling without hardening, shrinking, or cracking, and remains permanently elastic after curing. It is safe and reliable, releasing no solvents or corrosive vapors during setting, and is nonflammable and non-toxic. The formula is MEKO free, meaning it does not include 2-butanone oxime. Athesil is versatile and can be used as a formed-in-place gasket (FIPG) for sealing and adhesion of glass, plastic, or metal components, crankcases, pumps, and flanges. It does not damage lambda sensors, is easy to apply, and is non-toxic and non-flammable.
