Crafted using advanced reverse extrusion and cutting-edge CNC machining, this piston ensures exceptional dimensional accuracy, with tolerances under 0.01 mm. It is constructed from a specialized high-performance aluminum alloy rich in silicon, offering reliability comparable to Original Equipment (OE) pistons while delivering superior resistance and performance.
The piston features a perfectly smooth profile designed for consistent flow and optimal flame propagation. For reduced friction and improved performance and longevity, some piston skirts are treated with a molybdenum disulfide coating applied via screen printing.
Athena engineers, based in Italy, implement advanced technical solutions and maintain the highest quality standards, often exceeding OE production. Each piston undergoes rigorous testing on engine dynamometer benches and on the track to validate its performance under extreme conditions. This piston kit includes piston rings engineered in Japan with wear-resistant coatings (PVD or chromium nitride) to maximize durability and retainment, ensuring perfect adaptation to the cylinder liner even with low tangential load.
