This 144cc big bore piston kit from Athena is manufactured with cutting-edge CNC machining tools, ensuring dimensional tolerances of less than 0.01 mm. Made from a special high-performance aluminum alloy with high silicon content, it offers the reliability of OE pistons with greater resistance and excellent performance. The perfectly smooth profile ensures regular flow and perfect flame propagation. Some piston skirts are treated with a molybdenum disulfide coating applied by screen printing to reduce friction and enhance performance and durability. Athena engineers provide advanced technical solutions and high-quality standards equal to or better than OE production for performance and reliability. Each piston is engineered in Italy by Athena R&D and tested on engine dynamometer benches and on track. The piston for Athena Big Bore cylinder is equipped with piston rings that guarantee less friction with the cylinder for higher performance. The rings, produced in Japan with wear-resistant coatings (PVD or chromium nitride), increase retention and durability and adapt perfectly to the cylinder liner. This piston kit contains the piston, pin, circlips, and piston rings. All components are replaceable and interchangeable.
