They are made using gravity cast or hydraulic forging processes and refined with an automatic heat treatment implant. Machining is done using CNC machines and diamond tools, achieving specific surface finishes. Each piston undergoes manual and automatic quality control. Vertex pistons feature a Molybdenum Bisulphite black coating to aid break-in and reduce friction. A new Phosphate Coating offers increased hardness and porosity for superior Molybdenum Coating adhesion and durability. This piston is size C with a 47.46mm diameter.
