YAMAHA YZ 80 (79CC) 1993 - 2001 GRADE C 45.97mm SINGLE RING PISTON
Vertex pistons are manufactured using Low-Ex aluminum alloys with 12%, 18%, or 21% silicon depending on the application. Pistons are made using gravity cast or hydraulic forging, with material structure refined through a hi-tech heat treatment process. Machining is completed using CNC machines and diamond tools, achieving specific surface finishes for each application. Every Vertex piston undergoes rigorous manual and automatic quality control. Vertex pistons are coated with a special Molybdenum Bisulphite black coating for break-in and friction reduction. A new Phosphate Coating has also been introduced for increased hardness, light surface porosity, and superior adhesion and durability of the Molybdenum Coating. This is a single ring piston with a 45.97mm bore.
