Each piston is crafted from exotic Low-Ex silicon charged aluminium alloys. Depending on the specific application, these alloys contain 12%, 18%, or 21% silicon to ensure superior thermal expansion control and structural integrity. Using advanced gravity cast or hydraulic forging processes, every blank undergoes a sophisticated heat treatment in an automated system, followed by a precision hot water quench to refine the material structure.

Enhanced Coatings for Performance

• Molybdenum Bisulphite Coating: A high performance black coating applied to the piston skirt to assist in the initial break in process and significantly reduce internal friction during operation.
• Phosphate Coating: Borrowing technology from Formula One engine development, these pistons feature an all over phosphate coating. This adds surface hardness and a controlled porosity that dramatically improves the adhesion of the Molybdenum coating, doubling its durability and lifespan.
