Vertex pistons are manufactured using Low-Ex aluminum alloys with 12%, 18%, or 21% silicon. Piston blanks are created using gravity casting or hydraulic forging, followed by a heat treatment process in an automatic implant with hot water quench. Machining is done using the latest CNC machines and diamond tools to achieve specific surface finishes. Every Vertex piston undergoes rigorous manual and automatic quality control. Pistons are coated with Molybdenum Bisulphite for break-in and friction reduction. A new Phosphate Coating offers increased hardness and surface porosity for superior adhesion and durability. This piston has a bore size of 53.93mm and a single ring design.
