TM MX 85 2008-2014 GRADE A 47.87mm SINGLE RING PISTON
Vertex pistons are manufactured using Low-Ex (low expansion) Silicon aluminium alloys with 12%, 18%, or 21% silicon content depending on the application. Pistons are made using gravity cast or hydraulic forging processes, followed by a hi-tech heat treatment in an automatic implant with solubilization by hot water quench. Machining is performed using CNC machines and diamond tools, achieving specific surface finishes. Each Vertex piston undergoes rigorous manual and automatic quality control. Vertex pistons are coated with a special Molybdenum Bisulphite black coating for break-in and friction reduction. A new, all over, Phosphate Coating is also available, offering increased hardness, light surface porosity, and superior adhesion qualities of the Molybdenum Coating, doubling coating durability. This is a Grade A, 47.87mm single ring piston.
