SUZUKI RM 250 1998 GRADE A 66.34mm TWIN RING PISTON. Vertex pistons are manufactured using Low-Ex aluminium alloys with 12%, 18%, or 21% silicon depending on the application. They are made using gravity cast or hydraulic forging processes and refined with a hi-tech heat treatment process. Machining is done using CNC machines and diamond tools to achieve specific surface finishes. Every Vertex piston undergoes rigorous quality control. Vertex pistons are coated with Molybdenum Bisulphite for break-in and friction reduction, and also feature a new Phosphate Coating for increased hardness, porosity, and superior Molybdenum Coating adhesion.

FULL DESCRIPTION

High Performance Vertex Grade A Twin Ring Piston

Restore your engine performance with this premium Grade A twin ring piston from Vertex. Engineered to meet exacting specifications, this 66.34mm piston offers precision sizing and superior durability for demanding riding conditions. Vertex pistons are renowned for their high-quality construction and are a top choice for riders looking for reliable power delivery and engine longevity.

Advanced Manufacturing and Material Quality

Vertex utilizes advanced Low-Ex (low expansion) aluminum alloys with precise silicon content to ensure thermal stability and strength. The manufacturing process employs both gravity casting and hydraulic forging, followed by a sophisticated heat treatment process that refines the material structure for maximum resistance to wear and fatigue. Every piston is machined using high-precision CNC technology and diamond tooling to achieve exact tolerances and specific surface finishes.

Engineered for Performance and Durability

To minimize friction and ensure a smooth break-in period, this piston features a Molybdenum Bisulphite black coating. This is further enhanced by an innovative Phosphate Coating, developed from Formula One engine technology. This additional layer provides a slight hardness increase and a porous surface that improves the adhesion of the Molybdenum coating, resulting in significantly extended durability and reduced internal drag.

Key Features

  • Precision Engineering: Manufactured for an exact fit and optimal compression.
  • Advanced Alloy Construction: High-silicon Low-Ex aluminum for superior heat resistance.
