Vertex pistons are manufactured using Low-Ex aluminium alloys with 12%, 18%, or 21% silicon content. Pistons are produced via gravity casting or hydraulic forging, followed by heat treatment in an automatic HT implant with hot water solubilization. Machining is performed using CNC machines and diamond tooling to achieve specific surface finishes. Each piston undergoes manual and automatic quality control. Vertex pistons feature a Molybdenum Bisulphite black coating for break-in and friction reduction, and a new Phosphate Coating for increased hardness, porosity, and extended coating durability. This piston is 55.97mm with a single ring.
