KPMI Studs are made from 180,000 psi yield strength, fine grain, heat treated, aircraft grade alloy steel. Threads are rolled, heat treated, and the entire body of the stud is centerless ground. All KPMI Studs are coated with premium corrosion resistant Black Oxide treatment. KPMI nuts are single point machined from high tensile strength Aircraft Alloy Steel. Nuts are heat treated to create hard, wear resistant working surfaces while retaining a ductile core. Features premium black oxide treatment for corrosion resistance and appearance.
