This Athena Piston Kit is engineered for high-performance off-road motorcycles, featuring a forged construction for superior strength and durability. Crafted using advanced CNC machining, these pistons ensure precise dimensional accuracy, maintaining tolerances of less than 0.01 mm. They are made from a special aluminum alloy with a high silicon content, offering reliability equivalent to Original Equipment (OE) pistons while enhancing resistance and performance. The smooth piston profile promotes regular flow and optimal flame propagation.
Some piston skirts are treated with a molybdenum disulfide coating applied via screen printing. This treatment further reduces friction, boosting both performance and the piston's lifespan.
