Made from a special high-performance aluminum alloy with a high silicon content, it offers reliability equivalent to OE pistons while delivering superior resistance and performance.

The piston features a perfectly smooth profile designed for regular flow and optimal flame propagation. Some models include a molybdenum disulfide coating on the skirts, applied by screen printing, to further reduce friction, boosting performance and extending lifespan. Athena's commitment to quality ensures these pistons meet or exceed OE production standards, guaranteeing both performance and reliability.

Each piston is meticulously engineered in Italy and rigorously tested on engine dynamometers and tracks to validate its performance under extreme conditions. The included piston rings are produced in Japan with wear-resistant coatings (PVD or chromium nitride) to increase durability and ensure they adapt perfectly to the cylinder liner, even at low tangential loads, resulting in reduced friction and higher performance.
