KTM SX / GS 250 1996-1999 GRADE B 67.45mm TWIN RING PISTON
Vertex pistons are manufactured using Low-Ex aluminium alloys with 12%, 18% or 21% silicon depending on the application. Pistons are made using gravity cast or hydraulic forging processes, with material structure refined through advanced heat treatment in an automatic HT implant with hot water solubilization. This process uses cutting-edge technology for aluminium alloys. Machining is performed using the latest CNC machines and software with diamond tools, achieving specific surface finishes based on the piston's final application. Every Vertex piston undergoes rigorous manual and automatic quality control. Vertex pistons feature a special Molybdenum Bisulphite black coating to aid break-in and reduce friction. Vertex has also introduced a new Phosphate Coating, which offers increased hardness and surface porosity for superior Molybdenum Coating adhesion and double the coating durability. This piston is Grade B and measures 67.45mm with twin rings.
