KAWASAKI KX 85 2001-2022 GRADE C 48.46mm SINGLE RING RACE PISTON. Vertex pistons are manufactured using Low-Ex aluminum alloys with 12%, 18% or 21% silicon content depending on the application. They are produced using gravity cast or hydraulic forging processes, followed by heat treatment in an automatic HT implant with solubilization by quench in hot water. Machining is performed using CNC machines and diamond tools, achieving specific surface finishes. Each Vertex piston undergoes manual and automatic quality control. Pistons are coated with Molybdenum Bisulphite for break-in and friction reduction. Vertex also offers a Phosphate Coating for increased hardness, light surface porosity, and superior adhesion of the Molybdenum Coating, extending durability.
