Machining is performed with the latest CNC machines, software, and diamond tools to achieve specific surface finishes. Each Vertex piston undergoes rigorous manual and automatic quality control. Pistons are coated with a special Molybdenum Bisulphite black coating for break-in and friction reduction. Vertex also offers a Phosphate Coating for increased hardness, light surface porosity, and superior adhesion and durability. This piston is 48.45mm with twin rings.
