KAWASAKI KX 250 2002-2004 GRADE A 66.35mm TWIN RING PISTON
Vertex pistons are manufactured using Low-Ex aluminium alloys with 12%, 18%, or 21% silicon, depending on the application. Pistons are made using gravity casting or hydraulic forging. The material structure is refined through a heat treatment process with solubilization by quenching in hot water. Machining is completed using CNC machines and diamond tools to achieve specific surface finishes for the final application. Every Vertex piston undergoes rigorous manual and automatic quality control. Vertex pistons are coated with a special Molybdenum Bisulphite black coating to aid break-in and reduce friction. Vertex also offers a new Phosphate Coating which provides increased hardness and surface porosity for superior adhesion and durability of the Molybdenum Coating. This piston has a bore of 66.35mm and features twin rings.
