Every Vertex piston undergoes rigorous manual and automatic quality control. Vertex pistons are coated with Molybdenum Bisulphite for break-in and friction reduction. A new Phosphate Coating, developed from Formula One engine technology, offers increased hardness, light surface porosity, and superior adhesion and durability compared to the Molybdenum Coating. This piston is 1.6mm oversize at 67.95mm and features twin rings.

Advanced Manufacturing Technology
Vertex pistons are crafted using exotic Low-Ex (low expansion) silicon-charged aluminium alloys. Depending on the specific application, these alloys are enriched with 12 percent, 18 percent, or 21 percent silicon to ensure structural integrity and heat resistance. The manufacturing process utilizes either gravity casting or hydraulic forging, followed by a state-of-the-art heat treatment in an automatic implant to refine the material structure for maximum strength.
Precision Machining and Durability
Each piston is machined using the latest CNC technology and diamond-tipped tooling to achieve the exact surface finish required for optimal engine performance. To ensure long-lasting reliability, these pistons feature a specialized Molybdenum Bisulphite black coating. This treatment reduces friction during the critical break-in period and throughout the life of the piston.
