KAWASAKI KX 250 1998-2001 GRADE A 66.35mm TWIN RING PISTON
Vertex pistons are manufactured using Low-Ex aluminum alloys with 21% silicon. The gravity cast or hydraulic forging process is followed by a hi-tech heat treatment and solubilization by quench in hot water. Machining is completed using the latest CNC machines and software with diamond tools. Every Vertex piston undergoes rigorous manual and automatic quality control. Vertex pistons are coated with a special Molybdenum Bisulphite black coating to aid break-in and reduce friction. A new Phosphate Coating offers increased hardness, light surface porosity, and superior adhesion of the Molybdenum Coating, doubling durability. This is a Grade A twin ring piston with a 66.35mm bore.

FULL DESCRIPTION
Premium Grade A 66.35mm Twin Ring Piston
Engineered for peak performance and reliability, this Grade A twin ring piston is designed to meet the rigorous demands of high-performance engines. Vertex pistons are manufactured using exotic Low-Ex (low expansion) silicon-charged aluminium alloys, chosen specifically for their superior durability and thermal stability.
Every piston undergoes a precision manufacturing process, utilizing gravity casting or hydraulic forging, followed by state-of-the-art heat treatment. This refined material structure ensures consistent performance under extreme operating conditions. Using advanced CNC machining and diamond tooling, Vertex achieves precise tolerances and specific surface finishes tailored to the exact requirements of your engine.
Advanced Coating Technology
This piston features a specialized Molybdenum Bisulphite black coating, which serves two critical functions: it assists during the initial break-in period and significantly reduces friction during operation. Furthermore, the piston incorporates a high-durability Phosphate coating. Inspired by Formula One engine technology, this layer provides a slight hardness increase and light surface porosity, which ensures superior adhesion of the Molybdenum coating and effectively doubles its operational lifespan.
