Vertex pistons are manufactured using Low-Ex aluminium alloys with 12%, 18% or 21% silicon content depending on the application. Pistons are produced using gravity casting or hydraulic forging, followed by heat treatment for material refinement. Machining is performed using advanced CNC machines and diamond tools to achieve specific surface finishes. Each Vertex piston undergoes stringent quality control. Pistons are coated with Molybdenum Bisulphite for break-in and friction reduction, with an optional Phosphate Coating for increased hardness, surface porosity, and enhanced Molybdenum Coating adhesion and durability.
