They are made using gravity cast or hydraulic forging processes, followed by a heat treatment process. Machining is completed using CNC machines and diamond tools for specific surface finishes. Every Vertex piston undergoes rigorous quality control. Vertex pistons are coated with Molybdenum Bisulphite for break-in and friction reduction. A new Phosphate Coating is also available, offering increased hardness and improved adhesion for enhanced durability. This piston is a +0.50mm oversize 54.45mm single ring piston.
