HONDA RS GP 125 1992-1994 GRADE D 53.96mm
Vertex pistons are manufactured using Low-Ex aluminium alloys, silicon charged to 12%, 18% or 21% depending on the application. They are made using either gravity cast or hydraulic forging processes, with material structure refined through a high-tech heat treatment in an automatic HT implant with solubilization by quench in hot water. Machining is completed using the latest CNC machines and software with diamond tools to achieve specific surface finishes for the final application. Every Vertex piston undergoes rigorous manual and automatic quality control. Vertex pistons are coated with a special Molybdenum Bisulphite black coating for break-in and to reduce friction. A new, all over, Phosphate Coating has been introduced which offers increased hardness and surface porosity for superior adhesion and durability of the Molybdenum Coating. This piston is 53.96mm.
