They are produced using gravity casting or hydraulic forging, followed by a heat treatment process with solubilization and quenching in hot water. Vertex pistons feature a special Molybdenum Bisulphite black coating for break-in and friction reduction. A new Phosphate Coating, developed following Formula One engine advancements, provides increased hardness, surface porosity, and superior adhesion qualities for enhanced coating durability. This piston has a 53.97mm flat top with a 0.78mm ring.
