They are produced using gravity casting or hydraulic forging, followed by a high-tech heat treatment process. Machining is performed using the latest CNC machines and diamond tools to achieve specific surface finishes. Each piston undergoes rigorous manual and automatic quality control. Vertex pistons are coated with a special Molybdenum Bisulphite black coating for break-in and friction reduction. They also feature a new Phosphate Coating for increased hardness and superior adhesion, extending coating durability. This piston has a bore of 66.36mm and is a single ring race piston.
