Pistons are made using gravity cast or hydraulic forging processes and refined using a heat treatment process. Machining is completed using CNC machines and diamond tools. Vertex pistons undergo rigorous quality control. Pistons are coated with Molybdenum Bisulphite for break-in and friction reduction. Vertex also offers a Phosphate Coating for increased hardness and superior adhesion of the Molybdenum Coating.
